BioSim Talks

An IPR Seminar Series in collaboration with WPI-PRIMe

About

The BioSim Talks seminar Series is a monthly seminar series held at The University of Osaka, supported by the Institute for Protein Research (IPR)  and WPI-PRIMe. The series focuses on computational biology research in topics ranging from but not exclusive to, biomolecular modeling, systems modeling, bioinformatics, and simulations, to promote education, discussion, and collaboration among researchers in Japan. The seminar series provides a platform for researchers to share recent advances, technical expertise, and practical research approaches. Previous speakers have discussed molecular dynamics simulations, coarse-grained modeling, integrative computational and experimental studies, methodological developments, software and workflow best practices, and cutting-edge techniques. In addition to research presentations, the series also features technical lectures and workshop sessions focused on computational methods and continued learning within the community. Speakers include postdoctoral researchers, faculty members, and principal investigators from Japanese and international institutions, including researchers visiting Japan. The series places particular emphasis on supporting interaction among early-career researchers, international researchers, and female scientists working in computational biology and related fields. Seminars are held in a hybrid format (in-person and online) and are followed by informal discussion and networking sessions. We hope you will join us at the next BioSim Talk!
